## **Introduction**

This guide explains how to add a device to the GCXONE platform. Before adding a device, you must create a **Customer** and a **Site** where the device will be assigned.

## **Device Configuration Guide for GCXONE**

### Step 1 — Log in to GCXONE

**Step 1:** Log in to the **GCXONE platform** using your account credentials.

### Step 2 — Create a Customer

**Step 2:** Navigate to **Configuration**.

**Step 3:** At the **Service Provider** level, select **Customers**.

**Step 4:** Click **Add New**.

**Step 5:** Enter the required customer information. If needed, select an Entity Group.

**Step 6:** Click **Save**.

### Step 3 — Create a Site

**Step 7:** Select the newly created **Customer**.

**Step 8:** Open the **Sites** tab.

**Step 9:** Click **Add New**.

**Step 10:** Enter the required site information.

**Step 11:** Click **Save**.

### Step 4 — Add a Device

**Step 12:** Select the newly created **Site**.

**Step 13:** Navigate to the **Devices** tab.

**Step 14:** Click **Add New**.

**Step 15:** The **Add Device** dialog will appear.

In the **Add Device** dialog:

- Select the **device type or integration**
- Enter a **Name** and, if needed, select an **Entity Group**
- Enter the required **device configuration details**
- Provide network or authentication information if required

**Step 16:** Click **Save** to register the device.

## **Result**

After saving, the device will appear in the **Devices list** for the selected site. The platform will begin monitoring the device and processing events generated by it.
