Camera and Device HealthCheck

Nothing Fails Quietly.

GCX SystemView is the reliability layer of GCX One. Camera HealthCheck verifies that every camera is reachable, streaming and delivering a usable image; Device HealthCheck extends the same supervision to the rest of the connected estate — panels, IoT devices and actors. A failed check is not a line in a log: it raises a technical alarm that can call a technician, send an SMS, escalate, or open a support ticket automatically.

How GCX SystemView works. Step 1, Schedule: Every 12 hours, every 15 minutes, or on demand. Step 2, Capture: Connect to the live stream and take a snapshot. Step 3, Analyse: Reachable, streaming, lit, unobstructed, untampered. Step 4, Act: Technician call, SMS, escalation or a ticket. Step 5, Prove: A timestamped report the customer can keep.

What a check does

Sequence
Connects to the live stream, captures a snapshot, analyses it against the configured checks, records a verdict, displays it
Basic and Plus Checks
Reachability, streaming status, valid image
Advanced-Only Checks
Low light or no connectivity, no video signal or licence errors, audio-only device recognition, test-pattern and calibration screens, overexposure or glare, blocked or obstructed view, tampering or tilt
Tamper Detection
Disabled by default, requires reference images, and cannot run at the same time as obstruction detection
Camera Status
Healthy shown green; Failed, Unavailable and No Reference Image all shown red and distinguished only by their label

Governance & Limitations

Thermal Support
White-hot and black-hot modes only; colorised RGBT thermal is not supported
Configuration Dependency
Camera type, thermal versus optical, must be set correctly or results are not accurate
Masking Required
Any blacked-out or blurred region must be masked so it is excluded from the check
Known False Positives
Unnatural angles, and cameras facing untextured or empty space, are flagged unhealthy. Fisheye lenses are not supported

Subscribe a tier from the Marketplace, then enable it at the hierarchy level you want covered; everything below inherits it.
