Add a Device to GCXONE

Introduction

This guide explains how to add a device to the GCXONE platform. Before adding a device, you must create a Customer and a Site where the device will be assigned.

Device Configuration Guide for GCXONE

Step 1 — Log in to GCXONE

Step 1: Log in to the GCXONE platform using your account credentials.

Step 2 — Create a Customer

Step 2: Navigate to Configuration.

Step 3: At the Service Provider level, select Customers.

Step 4: Click Add New.

Step 5: Enter the required customer information. If needed, select an Entity Group.

Step 6: Click Save.

Step 3 — Create a Site

Step 7: Select the newly created Customer.

Step 8: Open the Sites tab.

Step 9: Click Add New.

Step 10: Enter the required site information.

Step 11: Click Save.

Step 4 — Add a Device

Step 12: Select the newly created Site.

Step 13: Navigate to the Devices tab.

Step 14: Click Add New.

Step 15: The Add Device dialog will appear.

In the Add Device dialog:

• Select the device type or integration
• Enter a Name and, if needed, select an Entity Group
• Enter the required device configuration details
• Provide network or authentication information if required

Step 16: Click Save to register the device.

Result

After saving, the device will appear in the Devices list for the selected site. The platform will begin monitoring the device and processing events generated by it.
